Weather is warming up again with hot days ahead (not that its been all that cool). Stay hydrated and safe.
The group monthly test happened on Sunday and the group played host to the SES RSU (Regional Support Unit). The Fortuna group along with Eppalock group has been running a trial using the SES as support at the LCF on bad days. We have only had 2 runs but its has been a great success. The SES unit lead by Ian Raulston have shown great interest in assisting with the trial and contining with the associating. It will help in filling the admin roles at the group and we will look at, over time, how we might add some other tasks. The good thing for us is we are not taking operational people off line.The next step is to develop a liason role for when we are asked to support SES in flood etc. It was clear during our support to SES during the weather event pre xmas that we need this role.
